Omi Diaz-Cooper one of Florida’s Top 50 Women Business Leaders

Miami, FL – May 20, 2011 – Diaz & Cooper, was named as one of the Top 50 Women-Led Businesses in Florida based on a recent study conducted by The Commonwealth Institute of South Florida and the Johnson A. Edosomwan Leadership Institute at the University of Miami School of Business Administration that examined the characteristics of women leaders and the businesses they lead. DCA recently celebrated a decade of industry-leading innovations and is a multi-award winning advertising agency whose dedication to its Clients proves they know that only what matters, matters.

The JAE Leadership Institute is a center of excellence dedicated to the cultivation of effective leadership. Diaz & Cooper is led by President and Co-Founder Otmara “Omi” Diaz-Cooper. Omi brings 20+ years of industry experience and an eclectic sensibility to everything she touches. A graduate of Florida International University, Omi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and a degree in Advertising Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. Along with her work at prominent Miami and Boston based agencies, in 2000, Omi co-produced the documentary “A Woman’s Place”, highlighting the issues contemporary Hispanic women face. Omi is also active in the local community and charitable organizations with a focus on environmental and socials issues.

2001 saw the inception of Diaz & Cooper, which Omi founded with husband Todd Cooper.
